1st session – Basic training (first of two sessions): Sun., 15 March 2026, 11:00–14:00

In this session we learn the fundamental duties of Shoshoji, Shoji, Jiki-Jitsu, Joko, Mokugyo players and Inos, and take a first walk through the concrete procedures.
Taking on officer duties for a time is not merely a set of tasks to be completed; at its core it should be a serious immersion in Zen practice – and it requires that seriousness without exception. For those who have been practising longer, it is also to be understood as a service to the Sangha, which after all consists entirely of volunteers giving their time freely. Beyond that, taking on these roles forms an important part of the Zen path.
