Samu Day at the BodhidharmaZendo – Cleaning the Rooms

Association members of the BodhidharmaZendo maintain the old tradition of Samu in the city Zendo. For this we hold four deep-cleaning days each year. Kigen Oshō will take part as well.

In those months when we are responsible for cleaning the common areas on our floor at Fleischmarkt 16, we clean the corridor and the toilets, but also our foyer, our kitchen and above all our BodhidharmaZendo.

In the spirit of Genro Dai Oshō, under whose guidance these Samu days were held regularly in earlier years, we devote ourselves during the work meditation to cleaning and minor repairs of our precious place of practice. Good conversation among Sangha members is by no means excluded.

Duration: 2:00–5:00 pm
At “half-time” there is a break with coffee, tea and snacks. Association members please register at mail@bodhidharmazendo.net!
